30 count- Vitroanura Giselae “Orange” (Bronx, NY)

Description: A slime eater that was cultured from my very own yard. Vitroanura Giselae "Orange" is, in my opinion, a good intro species into the world of Neanuridae springtails. These guys are myxomycete specialists, meaning they eat slime mold mainly, which is aided by special mouth parts. Feeding slime every 3 days seems to do the trick for these guys, while throwing out old oats after two days. Some say their bright orange color causes even the unhappiest person to smile. For locality sake, these are labeled "Bronx, NY" as that is where I collected them. Keep in mind, they are very easy to keep and prolific.

Disclaimer: I keep them on slightly damp reptisoil with crushed eggshells, crushed leaf litter, and bark slabs. Having pre-existing slime mold cultures is a must with this species and the only way to be successful.
